We are to blame for the situation we find ourselves in regarding identity theft because of our need for instant gratification. We want something and we want it now which obviously goes hand in hand with online transactions using credit cards. We can sit in the comfort of our home and order pretty much anything with a few simple clicks of a mouse but of course this is becoming increasingly dangerous. Lots of sites may claim to be secure but how do we actually know for sure. There are thousands of people who lose money on a daily basis because of their trust in others. Luckily though we are able to make use of the services of companies like life lock who are willing to ensure the service they render. It does not mean that security fraud is impossible but at least the risk is shared and the chances of being a victim are greatly reduced.
