The salmonella bacteria infect the gastrointestinal tract of livestock such as cattle, swine or poultry. Once these animals are infected, the animal may or may not show salmonella symptoms or any signs of sicknessat all but if they do manifest symptoms here here are the most common things that you will see.
- diarrhea which is ore frequent compared to human,
- fever that would only be seen by trained pediatrician,
- dehydration, that’s why its necessary that they do have fluids nearby so that they can drink
- bloody feces,
- emaciation,
- rapid breathing which cause them to rest and sit rather than run around like they always do,
- foul odor to feces or even urine,
- sloughing of skin from extremities
- sudden death can happen when they are not given the right attention and care.
The fecal-oral contact is the most common way of the bacteria spreading fro one animal to another animal. Keep their place clean to somehow prevent it
